WOW!!.....What a great 10 years!

Believe it or not, my beautiful wife has stuck with me for ten years! Holly, you are my soul mate, and I am the luckiest man on earth to have found have such a great woman to be my wife. I can't wait to celebrate!

Kuwait Weather Weirdness!

We've had some weird weather events here in Kuwait of late (or at least weird to us Minnesotans!). The above picture is of a dust devil. This is one of 5 that blew through one afternoon. By the time I got to my camera, it had moved into a gravel area and turned white in color. When it came across the open desert it was tan, and much easier to see. I never realized how big dust devils get (note the vehicles and light towers in the pic) they are like sand tornadoes with no storm!

The next day, a heavy thunderstorm rolled in. The gust front ahead of the storm picked up sand and dust and made the storm orange as it rolled in (above picture). When the rain moved in, it literally rained mud! I must say, that was a first for me.

By the way, we saw 118 degrees Fahrenheit on Memorial day, the newest high temp! The up side to all this weather madness........no mosquitoes!
